Question: can you put an umbrella in the table?
Answer: Yes you can, there is a hole in the middle in the square table!!!

Question: Is the entire set aluminum or a combination of steel and aluminum?
Answer: I believe it is a combination. I have the set outside in the weather year round and it still looks new and I live in Arizona. I love the set.
